Sherry Rehman says Pakistan’s committed to help Afghan peace; seeks understanding of policiesÂ
WASHINGTON, July 29 (APP): Pakistan has renewed its commitment to Afghan peace process, with its top diplomat in Washington urging objective appreciation of Islamabad’s policies in the interest of regional peace and stability. Ambassador Sherry Rehman said Islamabad is engaged with Kabul bilaterally as well as in the core trilateral group including the United States to push forward an Afghan-led reconciliation process. At the same time, the Pakistani envoy made it clear that the fight against terrorism is a shared struggle and everyone including Afghanistan, the United States and other international partners have to do their bid to counter the menace.
