Sherry Rehman discusses ties with Republican Congressman Jones; Gen ZinniÂ
WASHINGTON, Aug 1 (APP): Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Sherry Rehman met with Congressman Walter Jones, a Republican from North Carolina, and General Anthony Zinni, former commander US CENTCOM, to discuss relations between the two countries.Congressman Jones is a member of the House Armed Services and Financial Services Committees.The ambassador discussed with the Congressman and Gen. Zinni,matters relating to the Pakistan-US relationship and how to build on the recent positive developments, such as the opening of the Pakistani ground lines of communication.Ambassador Rehman also apprised her interlocutors of Pakistan’s efforts to help improve regional security and its relations with neighboring countries.Zinni expressed support for Pakistan and promised to help in strengthening bilateral relations.
