“There is a trust deficit between the United States and Pakistan, which needs to be removed for improving the relations,” she said while talking to a TV channel. She said Pakistan wanted friendly relations with all the nations, including Afghanistan and Central Asia.

“Pakistan wants to emerge as a responsible global player and we are getting success in this regard,” she added. Responding to a question, she said, “Pakistan has clear stance on drone attacks.”

Sherry Rehman said parliament was reviewing the status of relations with the United States. “We are formulating new terms of engagements,” she added.

“Every nation should respect the other nation, which is the only way to bring an improvement in all the affairs,” the ambassador said.
