Islamabad - Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Sherry Rehman on Thursday called on Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani at PM’s House and apprised him of her endeavors to promote relations between Pakistan and the US.
The prime minister said relations between the US and Pakistan were very important and should be pursued on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual interests.
He asked the ambassador to stay in touch with the Pakistani community living in the USA which was a great source of support and making valuable contributions to the Pakistan’s economy by sending remittances back home.
He also appreciated the Pakistanis living in America for their generous help to the flood victims last year in the province of Sindh.
