WASHINGTON, Feb 2 (APP) : The life and teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, emphasize values of tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect as fundamentals of an egalitarian society, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Sherry Rehman said.

The Ambassador attended the First General Body meeting of the Friends of Pakistan Club, a society formed in the 1950s through the collaboration of the Pakistani American diaspora and the Embassy. To kick start the Embassy’s outreach campaign with the new Congress, Ambasssador Sherry Rehman on January 30, 2013 met with D…emocrat Senators Christopher S. Murphy of Connecticut and Tim Kaine of Virginia in separate meetings. The Senators have recently been elected to the Senate and are members of important Senate Committees. Senator Murphy is serving on the Foreign Relations Committee whereas Senator Kaine, former Governor of Virginia, is a member of the Foreign Relations and Armed Services Committees.
